5 Foods that Help the Booty Grow
We can only do so many glute bridges, abductors, squats, etc. So, in order for us to get that perfect round shape, or to perk our booties up a little more, it’s important to incorporate certain, healthy foods in our diets. These foods build muscle mass and strength and, with the combination of exercise, maximizes results. Here are 5 foods that can help the booty grow:
Eggs: Rich in B vitamins, which increases energy and it also contains an amino acid called leucine, that is known to reduce muscle protein breakdown.
Avocado: this food is rich in potassium and high in antioxidants, which aids in “exercise-induced” muscle damage/soreness.
Brown Rice: also contains a high amount of amino acids called BCAA’s, which increases muscle protein synthesis (this is a reoccuring process in our bodies which produces protein in order to repair broken/damaged muscle tissue) and decreases the chance for muscle loss and soreness.
Salmon: the omega-3 fatty acids found in salmon help increase muscle volume and strength while decreasing inflammation in the body.
Flax Seeds: I always add these into my smoothies! Flax seeds provide a huge boost in protein and increasing your protein intake is essential for building muscle mass.
Of course there are many other foods we can incorporate into our diet, but these are just a few to get you started. Remember, doing physical exercises that target the glute muscles will help you see results much faster. If you haven’t already, check out my glute activation workout video!
